Current Opportunities
The Director, Communications is responsible for developing and executing the external and internal communications strategies of the organization, managing the Communications Department budget and deliverables, leading Communications team members, and collaborating with consultants to expand the value of the department’s contributions. The Director, Communications will also perform critical functions in crafting and reviewing media, technical and advocacy communications collateral appropriate for US, European, and developing county officials and stakeholders. S/he will also provide key support to the CEO and organization in support of fund development, donor engagement, proposal development, and donor reporting, as well as other duties as needed. The Senior Programs Manager (SPM), reporting to the Associate Director of Field Operations, is a key position responsible for providing leadership to VSI's existing and/or new programs in a range of countries. The SPM will work with officials in Ministries of Health, leading obstetricians and midwives, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and distributors in assigned countries to support registration and/or access to specific medications and products as well as support the development of an enabling policy environment to facilitate their introduction into the health system. The SPM will work closely with in-country partners to develop distribution networks, expand program reach, and ensure the achievement of deliverables in assigned countries. The SPM will be based at either VSI’s headquarters office in Irvine, CA, in Berkeley, CA or in Washington, DC, and will travel regularly to assigned countries.

Senior Programs Manager - Rwanda
VSI is looking to recruit a Senior Programs Manager (SPM) from candidates based in Rwanda. Finance and Administration Officer - Rwanda
The Finance and Administration Officer, working in close coordination with the VSI Headquarters Finance and Administration Department, is responsible for managing VSI’s field office finances, accounting tasks, and office administration. This position ensures compliance with local laws and regulations, accounting standards, and oversees field-level financial accountability. This position is responsible for day to day finance and administration activities in the VSI Rwanda field office but also provides finance and administrative support and oversight to other field offices and field programs as required. Senior Consultant, Market and Landscape Analysis
The Senior Consultant, Market & Landscape Analysis will bring his or her expertise in supply and demand forecasting of commodities, supply chain evaluation, behavior change, and related areas to a VSI project whose objective is to introduce and increase availability of specific maternal health drugs and commodities in developing countries. The Senior Consultant will focus on analyzing the public and private sector markets for the drugs and commodities in two or more developing countries, determining market projections, and identifying barriers to introduction and distribution. The Senior Consultant will work with a project team to create and execute specific plans for project countries but will be responsible for overall data collection and will oversee the analysis of collected data. The Senior Consultant will also help the team develop strategies designed to introduce and increase availability of the maternal health commodities in program countries.

Product Development Consultant
VSI is seeking a product development consultant to assist with the development of a diagnostic test to be used to screen for a maternal health condition. Working with VSI’s project team, the product development consultant will assist with:
- The development or refinement of a Target Product Profile (TPP) that describes the product specifications, user profile and proposed utilization. This information will be used to research the manufacturing and regulatory standards required to produce the test.
- Formulation of a product development pathway, identifying and defining critical milestones for product production, registration and introduction.
